The kidnapping of an L.A. mayoral candidate’s son traps him and his wife, Abigail Kimball, in a frantic race to assemble a ransom payment. Their campaign has drained their finances, forcing the couple to abandon the respectable boundaries of their public lives and engage in illicit activities they never imagined undertaking.

As the hours tick down, the pressure strips away their polished facade, revealing a darker underbelly to their existence. Ben Affleck and Kerry Washington anchor this high-stakes thriller, navigating a moral quagmire where every choice risks destroying the family they are fighting to save. The narrative tightens as the desperation to secure the money forces them to confront uncomfortable truths about who they really are when the cameras are off and the stakes are personal.
