Dark Matter

Jason Dessen is ripped from his ordinary existence and deposited into a parallel reality where he is already the enemy. In this mirror world, he is not a victim but the architect of suffering, and his own image haunts every corner of his new life. The bind is absolute: to reclaim his real family, he must navigate a landscape where his counterpart holds the power, forcing him to confront the terrifying possibility that his own nature is the threat.

This is not a simple rescue mission; it is a struggle for survival against a self that has already won. The stakes escalate as the distance between the two worlds blurs, demanding that Dessen dismantle the version of himself that has taken over his life. Every step toward his true home is a step deeper into the mind of his greatest adversary, leaving him to wonder if he can ever truly be free of the person he was.
