Nocturne

The case closes only when the victim dies. Then she walks in alive. Detective Jonah Lynn now races against a deadline that no longer exists, hunting for the one person still unaccounted for in the aftermath of notorious serial killer Jurek Walter. The stakes shift from catching a monster to understanding a survivor who refused to stay dead. While Lynn chases the missing piece of the puzzle, his protégé Saga Bauer takes the dangerous path, going undercover to extract answers directly from Walter.

The dynamic between the veteran detective and his younger counterpart strains under the weight of this impossible twist. Lynn’s methodical pursuit clashes with Bauer’s willingness to step into the killer’s orbit. As the investigation unravels, the line between protecting a witness and interrogating a predator blurs. The story pivots on whether Walter will speak or if Lynn can locate the missing party before the truth dissolves into silence.
