Tulsa King

Dwight "The General" Manfredi steps out of prison after twenty-five years behind bars, only to find his freedom curtailed by an immediate exile. His boss banishes the New York mafia capo to Tulsa, Oklahoma, a move that quickly reveals the family’s true priorities. Recognizing that the mob does not have his best interests at heart, Dwight decides to stop relying on a structure that has just discarded him.

Instead of submitting to his new role, he begins the slow, deliberate work of assembling his own crew. This shift from loyal enforcer to independent operator forms the core of his struggle, as he navigates the unfamiliar terrain of the Midwest while establishing a power base of his own making. The narrative focuses on this transition, watching as Manfredi tests the loyalty of those around him and builds a team that answers to him alone, rather than to the distant, unreliable leadership that sent him away.
