Wicker

On the fringes of a coastal village, a Fisherwoman endures the relentless ridicule of her smelly, single existence. Fed up with the suffocating small-mindedness of her conservative neighbours, she takes matters into her own hands by commissioning a husband crafted entirely from wicker. This audacious act transforms her domestic life and ignites a firestorm of outrage, jealousy, and chaos throughout the tight-knit community.

Olivia Colman anchors this eccentric tale as the solitary woman who dares to defy social expectations, while Alexander Skarsgård embodies the literal construction of her rebellion. The narrative balances the absurdity of a man-made partner against the rigid morality of a town that cannot tolerate deviation, turning a personal quest for companionship into a communal crisis.
